Danske Bank Group IT Lithuania (DGITL) is a part of an organization, which delivers world-class digital financial solutions to customers. DGITL is newly established IT site operating from the end of 2014 but it is already the fastest growing IT organization in Lithuanian market. We are looking for “Lead/Principal” Engineer who could lead transition from traditional Platform team to Site Reliability Engineering within MobilePay. We expect him act as a Technical Lead setting the direction for a team. Main preference – practical experience of being in SRE (Site reliability engineering) team (i.e. Google or other big companies). Preferably have done that already in some companies and can work within Internal Cloud limits (eventually public cloud – but just not yet).

We expect you:

  • Have been part or lead SRE team
  • Have experience building and releasing Infrastructure-As-Code in a controlled environment with an understanding of full-lifecycle configuration management
  • Ensure reliability, scalability and adhere to the DevOps philosophy
  • Have Expertise in writing, debugging and optimizing code, and automating routine tasks
  • Love coaching others, inspire and explore new ways of working
  • Be an evangelist to encourage adoption of technologies and best practices across teams
  • Have experience with our technology stack Stackshare (at least some of it)
  • Have experience with Kubernetes and .Net Core (not mandatory, but plus)

We would like you to:

  • Work with development partners to shape the architecture, design, and implementations of new and existing systems to enhance their reliability, performance, efficiency, and scalability across multiple datacentre setup
  • Own end-to-end availability and performance of key services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence. Automate response to all nonexceptional service conditions
  • Lead a team of Software/Systems Engineers on projects for users and be directly responsible for uptime
  • Direct the development of the DevOps methodologies, discipline and technical roadmap within company
  • Increase the productivity of our development teams by leading blameless post-mortems
  • Be responsible for leading and directing Infrastructure as a Code automation efforts using Python/PowerShell
  • Actively coach and guide our development teams to deliver a world class product
